mama zombie

Like what i told MMK, i'm turning into a mama zombie. I cannot move much on bed anymore, turning to my sides will trigger the baby to kick in my tummy.

"My dearest baby, your mama have to turn while sleeping. If now, arm and ear will go numb. I promise i will try to turn gently and not disturb your sleep too."

Too bad he never listen, the kicks wake me up on and off, so no choice, have to sleep on my side or on my back whole night. Once i move, he kicks. Not only i get insomia, i have pimples all over my face and bad hair day every morning.

It's so crazy!! My sis and i went to Jusco cos it's Card Member Day Sale. Carpark was FULL at 11.30am, can you imagine the crowd? Parents were there at 10.30am and surprisingly dad managed to get himself a few shirts and pants. We met mum at the groceries section and they were lining up to get cooking oils. It must be real cheap cos the line was so long and mostly all are aunties :P So we started our shopping by hunting for some daily use stuff like hair cream, milk powder, honey stars (hubby's special request) & a lot others. Hehe..bought him 2 XL box of honey stars. Erm...let me rephrase, i helped him to buy 2 XL box since i'm going to claim all the money spent from him later :D My banker.

The next section we went to was baby section. You know lar, i'm so obsessed with baby items now. So dad left us to take a break near the waiting area, while mum followed me around the place. I told her, it was going to be just a while cos will not do much shopping. Again, i couldn't resist it. In the end, i bought baby bath tub, pacifier, brush, nappy, clothes, etc...which totaled up to another hundred dollars, all within an hour :P Completed 90% from my shopping list.
Was very happy with all the things bought but still unable to decide which brand of breast pump to get. TollyJoy, Pureen or Avent?

We came back to office just in time and luckily i have a VIP car park, otherwise we'll surely melt like butter under the scorching sun. I feel vomitish now, must be due to all the rushing and walking :P

change?

Took breakfast on the way to work, 2 slices of bread with peanut butter & grape jam. After finishing the bread, i could hardly breathe properly. I loosened my pants thinking that was the cause but it didn't help either. So just put the seat back and lied now and focus on breathing. Going to ask the doc what is happening to me next week.

gender confusion

My colleague told me this news today. Her sis-in-law went to Specialist A to have her tummy scanned & the doc told her it's a boy. Happily, she went to the GH for her routine checkup and scanned the second time & the doc said the same thing, it's a boy.

However, when it was near her due date, she switched to Specialist B and the doc told her that she will be getting a girl. She was so shocked and upset cos she already told the whole world that she will be getting a boy. Addition, the couple already bought all the things to welcome a baby boy. Imagine how devastated she was. Finally, she gave birth to a girl.

I am confident in my doc and there will not be any mistaken identity case.

names

I told my frens i will be having a Mickey next year (it's going to be a baby boy). So right now, we're supposed to start thinking a name for him. The name will then be sent to a Master to check whether it's suitable with his BaZi or not. Since i dunno mandarin characters, i dun have any contribution to this task.

So, i joked with hubby. Let's name the baby Jacob Tee, since i like Jacob's Weetameal so much. Or maybe name him Greene Tee (green tea) :P He ignored me this time...humphhhh :P

mummy-to-be list

At last some things for myself. Maternity pads, washable nursing pads and stretch mark cream. More things to come. I'm using stretch mark cream since a few weeks ago. My colls & frens have been warning me that the mark will come when i reach 6 months pregnant. I'm already 24weeks pregnant and i have not seen any stretch mark on my tummy *touch wood*. I think my tummy ain't big enough kua. Hubby too lending me hands to massage my tummy 2-3 times a week and during every weekends. I guess he is starting to enjoy putting his ears against my tummy to listen for the baby's movement & talking to the baby on and off =)

We bought this when we went to Baby Fair at Sunshine Square. Avent's milk bottles has fixed price be it in Jusco or anywhere else. So when we saw the price slashed to 20% in Sunshine, we grabbed it without giving it a second thought. The salesgirl was quite annoying and kept recommending us to buy a few boxes of milk bottle and buy a set of breast pump at the price of RM1800. Crazy!!! We have so many other things to buy including baby bath tub, baby cot mattress, diapers, stroller, walker..........such a long list. I better list down what else is there to buy some more.

baby's first clothes

This is the first pair of clothes hubby bought for our baby. Simple, white, pure and it's so mini. Look at the size of hubby's shirt compare to our baby's. In another 10-20 years, the baby is going to wear the same size of shirt as hubby :)

look Ma, i can somersault

My baby is doing somersault in my tummy, moving non-stop and i can see my tummy moving. Maybe it's just as excited as am i cos i just can't wait for tomorrow. Hopefully the baby is no shy anymore this time. Don't be too shy, just open up and let us know ler. Your mummy has to buy new clothes and start thinking of suitable names now.

i have big tummy, get lost from my car park

I thought my VIP car park is already reserved for me until i go on maternity. Manatau, when i reached this morning, an absent-minded fella parked at my place happily, a green MyVi. Hey, last week, CW's place was taken. Today's my turn. Lodged a complaint at our main guard house and they got me the car owner after 2hours. Apparently, the car owner was late and conveniently parked at my place cos she thought that the car park was still reserved under her friend's name. How wonderful. The next time if my VIP car park is taken by aliens, i should just park my car next to our main guard house and wait till the guard informs me that my car park is vacant. Good idea huh?

I'm determined to go home early again today. Couldn't seem to concentrate at work today eventhough i just came in to work at 1pm. My car was parked quite a distance away and i've to ask the doc to write a referral letter tomorrow morning. I want my own parking lot, even for just 3 months.

2.5kg

My weight increased again this month. The nurse was alarmed and kept asking me whether i have diabetes or not. How am i supposed to know whether i have or not, you should be the one doing the test on me. Crazy isn't? This is what you get when you go for free checkup :P

perfume

I saw a few posts from other bloggers about perfume giveaway. I'm not a great fan of perfume and i do not have any specific perfume that i like. A friend gave me an Estee Lauder perfume & this reminds me that i bought an Issey Miyake perfume for myself last year and i still haven't got any chance to use it. But for now, all i want is the medicated oil made in Thailand.

ranting non-stop

When i have no opp to write, i rant. When i have to many opps to write, i rant. Now i have about 10 opps on hand but what am i doing now? I go read other blogs and leave comments. Will be taking half day off again tomorrow for my monthly routine check-up. Going to waste half a day waiting for the doc to attend to me and telling me to take balance diet meals and exercise more. So boring.

under sleeping spell

And i thought going to bed as 10pm will cure my sleepiness. My legs ached so much yesterday that i couldn't sleep well. I forgot to reduce the fan speed and it was like tornado in the middle of the night. It is so difficult to not able to sleep on my tummy anymore. Oh yeah, the baby kicks me on and off at night. Although it's not that noticeable yet, but i'm a light sleeper at night only. Try waking me up when i'm having my afternoon nap. You sure fail miserably.

i'm leaking

First, I'm too heavy for my feet, and now i'm "leaking". I visit the toilet so often that i'm so fed up already. Nowadays, i get thirsty very easily so i have to consume a lot of water. The moment i drink water, i need to visit the toilet about 10-15mins later, that fast! Drink - toilet - drink - toilet, non-stop. And our company toilet isn't exactly a nice place to go to. If you're lucky, you may even find worms squirming on the cubicle wall and floor, yucky! To add wound to salt, my friend told me that this "leaking" condition will get worse until right before my labor. Aiyooo..... Wait...i have to stop complaining. At least this is better than having tummy discomfort :P

i'm too heavy for my feet

In our company, you can only apply for a reserved car park lot if you're 6 months pregnant. And since the size of our company is diminishing, the number of reserved car park lots have been reduced, thus, limited. I walked to the clinic to confirm and was told this fact. Not wanting to be put on waiting list when i reach my 6th month, i went over to our guard house to check for any available car park. Luck was on my side when i was told, there is one vacancy near lobby and so i asked the kind girl to book for me first before i get the medical prove from my doc next week. Hopefully no one will go to labour before or at the same time as i am.

Walking is slowly getting more difficult for me, not becos of the weight cos i've reached 64kg before, a few years back. The more i walk now, the more i could feel the pressure of my tummy on my legs. I envy those slim ones who are on high heels and low waist jeans.

music for prenatal babies

Soft music is good for prenatal babies and pregnant ladies. I couldn't agree more. We bought a box of prenatal music containing 4 cds from QB. Three of them contain classical music while the 4th one is about parenting tips. So hubby decided to put each cd at different places. One at home, one in the car and one at my workplace. At first it was nice to listen to something different, soothing music to calm yourself and the baby. But the more i listen to it, the more boring it gets. You could just practically fall asleep listening to the cds. I know why i'm so sleepy all of a sudden. But the truth is, my baby is moving in my tummy when i played the first song. Strange huh?

how to type with protruding tummy

Although my tummy is still not that visible yet, but i'm having difficulty sitting in my own place. Tummy is preventing me from going nearer to the table so i have to drag my notebook nearer to the edge of the table. I wonder how near must i pull the notebook towards me when i'm 7 months pregnant. Just leave it on my lap?? :P How did the rest of the pregnant ladies manage to type comfortably?

Izzit me or does this happen to all mama-to-be?

Why am i feeling sleepy during the first week of 2nd trisem even when i have work to do?
Why do i feel sleepy at 9pm when i used to go to bed much later than that?
Why do i wake up at 3.30-3.45am and stay wide awake for some time before i finally go back to sleep?
Why i always have the urge to visit the toilet every morning (big biz)?

Am i becoming a grumpy pot + Sleeping Beauty. What a combination! =P
