stop insulting!

I just need to blog about this. Who says that properties in mainland are cheap? Who says that everything in mainland is soooo cheap? I hate it when i hear that phrase. If the properties in mainland are so cheap as claimed, why do people want to buy a 700sq apartment in penang? Why not invest in 2000sq multiple storeys houses in mainland? If everything in mainland is so cheap why don't island people go do marketing in mainland?

Houses are not cheap now in mainland like before. Believe it or not, developers are building 3 storeys house in mainland. Single storey houses are no longer in great demand. A normal double storeys house is about RM250K. So you use your own imagination to estimate the prices of multiple storeys house. My friend's dad just sold his house for approx RM 1Million somewhere near Batu Kawan.

Talking about traffic. The distance between mainland to island is almost similar from Tg Bungah to Bayan Lepas. The only difference is we mainland people have to pay stupid RM5.60 for Pg bridge toll. Once upon a time, someone told me that mainland people are very greedy. They come to penang to work & create more traffic but go back to mainland and buy properties there. So we are guilty to come to work in Penang. However, little does he know that, the jam at the toll towards penang at 6.30pm onwards is worse than the jam in the morning. So what does this tell you? Why are there so many people going back to island at 6.30pm onwards??

I overheard a person commented that the food in Juru Autocity is cheap. Yeah, depending on what outlets you go to. Food are still cheap if you visit the old coffee shops. However, prepare to spend if you visit outlets like Swensens, Roxbury, Manhattan Fish..etc. RM10 is only enough for a glass of drink.

So conclusion, dun make stupid comments again.

Oh dear!! I have an urgent shipment to be done before end of this week. Unfortunately, the cheque i've requested for has not yet reached me. Bank confirmed that they have sent the cheque last week but finance folks have not received them yet. And i have to ship my stuff urgently! Fingers are crossed now. Someone will have to bear this responsibility.

Journey to Hell?

We have a group of people from Journey to the West here:

1) Monkey God - a person who can transform into 72 different transformations
2) Piggy God - a person who act smart and talk big, but nothing can be done.
3) "Sa Chan" God - a person who talk only but too stupid to put into action.

So we always need the knowledgeable Monk to come and save the day.....

can i hate paypal?

i'm so sick and tired of finding ways to accept & withdraw my money from Paypal. No doubt paypal suppport team is providing prompt response, but i still cannot do things my way.

I want to be able to withdraw money from my paypal by giving them a DBS bank account number. But no, i have to have a Singapore paypal account. Changing my address in personal profile will not trigger that. Either i cancel my current Msia paypal and recreate a Spore paypakl or i maintain my current Msia paypal & have a Spore Premium/Business paypal account. @##$@!!!!!!

I'm still waiting patiently for them to reply to more of my questions & in the meantime, also waiting patiently for them to fix their impossible enter-US-bank-account problem which started on 11May 2007. Damn!!

trying to be smart

Sometimes it would be just fine if you keep quiet and not asking question during telecon or meeting. Recently i just found out, a "smart" question was asked and it like a wantan mee seller asking advice from a hokkien mee seller how to make wantan. Imagine this type of question asked. Pure stupidity.

phone x-file

Someone : I suspect somebody is using my phone.
Me : How did you know? Redial showing unknown number?
Someone : Nope. My phone receiver stinks.
Me : *trying hard not to laugh*

Can you solve the mystery above? Just use 0.00001% of your brain. Guess who is the culprit behind the stinking phone receiver. By the way, that someone has her own cubicle.

i love my job

Have new job responsibilities now. Since some of my counterparts are gone with the wind, we have to pick up their leftovers. It not really that though but just time consuming job. What to dot, it's part of my job. I just cannot be choosy if i want to remain in this company.

There are a few reasons why i'm still in the same dept i was since i started my working life. First, i get to relax whenever i want. Second, i love my job although some would think that i'm overpaid for the job i'm assigned to. Third, i get to be in the same company as hubby. We car-pool to work & back home. Save time save money. The drawback is i'll have to comply to his time. Not a big deal anymore since i started blogging ;)

What a forgetful me, this blog is only 2 month old and i submitted it to Blogitive. Dang, no wonder i got rejected. So sorry, my bad :P

Stomachache & sleepy, such a good start on Monday morning.

need a tour guide to Holland?

One person that i know of are super busybody. She always like to ask people where do when someone is on leave. I thought of a very suitable answer for this person.

"Anywhere but not *Holland cos i cannot go there without you, you're the tour guide."

*there is another meaning for Holland in chinese.

Why Person A needs to do something really outstanding to get herself/himself promoted while Person B who receives "new task" which she/he was supposed to know how to do it long again but considered as "new job responsibility" get recognised for it? How ironic.

emotional intelligence

Been away for 2 days as i was nominated by my beloved boss to attend a course called Emotional Intelligence. Maybe she thinks that i needed this course to control my emotion as i'm a very emotional person.

I wanted to blog about this last week but was too lazy therefore i've forgotten what i've wanted to blog about now. We were taught on how to identify certain emotion & how to overcome it. Complaint trap, conflict management, 5 aspects of leadership & some other interesting facts. Today we learnt about Constructive Criticism, Listening, Reasoning & Actions. We also watched a very interesting movie called MAX-N-MAX. It was about how a boss treats his dog (MAX) & subordinate (MAX) the same way until both the dog & subordinate reacted the same way and got totally confused. That's what happens in real life. Bosses want to control the way their people work but at the same time want them to perform well. Bosses control people by tying strings around the neck of their employees, just like dogs.

And we were thought on how to handle criticism professionally. When people are angry with you, imagine that person is having a tough day at home (e.g. someone died in the family) and you'll start to sympathize that fella & try to calm that fella down. I bet i can do that, can you?

moron doctor + nurses

I just need to blog about this. I had my worst experience with one of our company panel clinics.

Yesterday I reached one of the panel clinics in Chai Leng Park, 24-hour clinic. We went there right after work cos my stomachache was still there since last week & my menses delayed. Got panic & i'm not pregnant.

At the receptionist:
I didn’t have my medical record book with me, so I showed my badge. The receptionist dun want to accept it, so no choice I agreed to pay first & fill up the form given. She asked for my IC while I was filing up the form. So I passed her the IC after filing up the form given earlier. She took the form from me & made it into a ball & threw it into the dustbin without any sign. So rude, but didn’t bother much as long as there is a doctor.

In the doc’s room:
I was instructed to enter the room by a malay nurse. Hubby followed of cos. The Indian doc was sitting lazily on the chair, chewing on bubble gum & shaking his legs so much that his whole body shakes too. Okay, that’s rude & unethical but who am I to comment, I’m just a patient. So I explained in details about the things I have been experiencing since last week including the pain in my abdomen. He suggested that I do a urine test. I went to the toilet & back. When I passed the bottle back to the nurse (nicely wrapped in a piece of tissue of my own cos the toilet has no toilet paper), the malay nurse stepped back & asked me to put the bottle on the sink instead. Hey, I dun have any contagious disease. Afterall it’s her job, why should she act like that. The doc then told me he would proceed with urine pregnancy test (UPT) which I said okay too. After all the tests done, it’s only bladder infection & nothing serious. Pregnancy test turned out negative. My menses would be starting very soon according to him. I just need to drink more water, even though I drink about 2-3liters a day. So we thanked the doc and went out.

At the Receptionist again:
The Chinese+Indian nurse called out my name & gave me instructions on how to consume the medicine. Then she told me, since I’ll be paying by cash, RM35 will be charged under company & additional RM20 UPT will be covered by my own pocket money. Of cos, I refused to pay. I wasn’t told about need to pay on my own before the UPT was done. This is not acceptable & I’ll not pay. The nurse kept mumbling that I should pay for the UPT and cannot claim from Avago. I admit I did suggest to her that, write something about UPT & charge it to Avago. The nurse refused, so I stood there and asked her how. She then told me a joke: I pay the RM35 & go home without the medicine. Hah!! Then came the receptionist to her aid. Apparently, the doc dun want to show his face & he insisted the nurse to collect the fee from me. After spending some time arguing at the receptionist, the doc called me into his office.

Back into doc’s room:
There he was chewing on his gum again. He explained that I need to pay, repeated what the nurse has told me & I told him, I’m not going to pay for something which I was not told before hand. The doc argued that I agreed to do the UPT and therefore I need to pay him. Another joke. I told him right to his face, he should have told me I need to pay before he proceeded with the test. Another reason from him on why he did the test. As a doctor, after hearing all the symptoms that I have, he suspected that I have an abortion (abortion & miscarriage = 2 different term, moron). Therefore he has to do a UPT for me. First of all, UPT test is only done 2 weeks from the day menses is supposed to start. UPT is done on the first urine in the morning. He dun even have the basic knowledge & yet he thinks that I have abortion??? Makes me doubt his professionalism. And yes, he was still chewing on his gum when he argued with me. And also, in the first place, I didn’t go to the clinic to have UPT. I was more concerned on any infection or growth in my abdomen. Finally, he said I just needed to pay the RM35 and he will charge RM55 to my company and call up HR to inform them about my case. Be my guest, as long as he dun rob RM20 from me.

Receptionist counter again:
The ChineseIndian nurse was sulking & refused to attend to me. The malay nurse urged her and finally she wrote the receipt with dark face & still sulking and mumbling something in Indian. I dun bother much. I took the medicine, paid the RM35 & took the receipt.

We went home & took my medical record book and went to JF again. I was so reluctant to walk in again, but have to claim back my RM35. Passed my book to the receptionist & she mumbled something about calling HR and something which I dun bother to listen. Waited like 5mins for another nurse to process dunno what and FINALLY, the other nurse threw the booklet back to me with money inside. I didn’t thank her & walked off. I dun think I’ll ever go back to JF again. Unfortunately, it’s the only 24-hour clinic available. Why???? Cos it’s the cheapest clinic?

I’m waiting for the HR to call me & I’ll relate the whole incident to them….happily….
